How we give back
Milestone Coach Advisory Services is proud to be an involved member of our community and have a variety of causes that we support.
Hawaii Island Contractors’ Association
The Hawaii Island Contractors’ Association is a non-profit organization that has been around for more than 50 years. They are comprised of over 150 licensed general contractors, subcontractors, lifetime, hall of fame, honorary and associate members. Among other things, the Association provides legislative advocacy, industry support and education to its members, scholarships for 2nd-year college students in a construction-related field and opportunities for growth.
Hawaii Island Chamber of Commerce
The Hawaii Island Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1898 and has been part of the business community for 117 years. Based in Hilo, the Chamber serves members from East Hawaii, as well as member businesses from all over our Island, statewide and some national and international organizations. There are more than 270 member businesses, representing nearly 630 individuals. Each year, more than 4 million people in over 20 countries raise funds and awareness for cancer and cancer research through the Relay for Life movement. During a Relay for Life event, participants and survivors celebrate what they’ve overcome. We remember people lost to the disease, and honor people who have fought or are fighting cancer. The event inspires Relay participants to take action against a disease that has taken too much from too many people. Milestone Coach has been involved for the past 3 years and has raised more than $2,000 for the cause.
Project Dana is a Faith in Action program providing a variety of services to the frail, elderly and disabled in order to ensure their well-being, independence, and dignity in an environment of their choice. Support comes from a corps of trained volunteers guided by the principle of “Dana,” which combines selfless giving and compassion without desire for recognition or reward.
